Cancellations and refunds

These rules cover the three visits Think Meridian actually offers: the private shelf appointment, the Saturday workshop, and the collection brief. Last updated 21 September 2026. Questions go to hello@thinkmeridian.click or 0616857404.

How to ask

Write to hello@thinkmeridian.click with your name, the visit, the date, and whether you want a refund or a new date. A telephone call to 0616857404 can start the same request; the room still confirms the outcome by email. Refunds are paid by bank transfer in KRW to the account that sent the original fee, within 10 business days after the room agrees the amount.

Private shelf appointment

The fee is 90,000 KRW. Cancel with at least 48 hours’ notice and the full fee is returned. Cancel inside 48 hours and half the fee is returned; the other half covers the stack already pulled and the hour that cannot be refilled from the ferry timetable. A no-show keeps the full fee in the room.

You may move the hour once, without a fee, with at least 48 hours’ notice. A second move is treated as a cancellation under the timing above. If you arrive and the visit is ended because the room’s conduct rules are broken, the fee is retained.

Saturday workshop

The seat is 55,000 KRW, of which 20,000 KRW holds the chair. Cancel at least five days before the Saturday and both the holding amount and any balance already paid are returned in full. Cancel later and the 20,000 KRW holding amount is retained; any balance paid above that is returned. A no-show retains the full seat fee.

You may move to a later open Saturday with at least five days’ notice. The holding amount stays with the new chair. Inside five days, a move follows the late-cancellation rule.

Collection brief

Forty percent of the agreed fee starts the writing, after the intake. Before writing has started, cancel the brief and receive everything paid, including a moved intake that you no longer want. Once the librarian has begun pulling the shelf and writing, the starting amount is not returned. The remainder, if not yet paid, is not charged when you stop the work at that point.

After the packet is bound and offered for collection, the writing fee is due in full and is not refunded. Paper and binding, once produced, are not refunded as a separate materials line; they are inside the fee. If you asked for posting inside Korea and the packet has been handed to the post, postage is not refunded. A factual correction round, within ten days of delivery, is part of the original fee and is not a new charge.

The intake itself may move once with 48 hours’ notice, before writing starts. A missed intake without notice is treated as the start of work only if the shelf was already pulled; otherwise the room offers one replacement intake.

When the library cancels

If Think Meridian cancels a shelf hour, a Saturday, or a brief, every amount received for that visit is returned in full. If weather or the ferry closes the room for the day, you choose a new date or a full refund of amounts received. Work already started on a brief can pause during a closure; the starting amount stays applied to the finished packet rather than being treated as a visitor cancellation.

Travel to Geumil-eup

Ferry tickets and lodging are arranged by you with the operators you choose. Think Meridian refunds the reading-room fees described above. The confirmation letter includes a reminder of the afternoon boat that previous visitors from the southern coast have caught.
